Easter in Evansville

We celebrated Easter in Evansville while saying our good byes to Grandma Emmerson and celebrating her life!

The Easter bunny left the girls this big pink ball. Claire was very happy about it!

We had an Easter egg hunt in Grandma and Grandpa Emmerson's back yard just like we used to do!

We realized that this was the last time we would all be at their house together! So we stopped some poor lady walking her dogs and asked her to take a picture of all of us in front of the house!

Pop Pop and Uncle Matt give great rides.

Uncle Matt read me my bedtime stories! He's the BEST!

My Grandparents have the most beautiful bushes in front of their house. Of course they only flower for a few weeks a year! We were there at the perfect time so we over did the pictures a bit...Grandpa Emmerson would have been proud of his flowers this year! They were PERFECT!

Claire paced the house with these baskets for days!

Pop Pop was kind enough to teach Claire the love for cold pizza...thanks a ton Pop Pop?!?

Emmerson's 3rd Birthday Party

Emmerson had such a fun birthday party. Friends and family came, the weather was awesome, we played outside, had an Easter egg hunt, and had pizza and cake at Emmerson's request!

We got to play outside.

We found LOTS of eggs!

Cousin Dev was so excited about the eggs he found.

Look at how full our bags are...

The whole gang (minus cousin Tommy)

Counting our eggs.

"Look at all my gifts! I am lucky!"

Thanks Jackie Poo!

She was so excited for everyone to sing to her!

Spring Break

Emmerson's spring break was the same as Jack's so we did lots of fun stuff with them!

Claire loves that she can walk and play at playgrounds now!

We went to 100 Acres.

Jack likes to teach me about construction sites.

Look at how big we are!

Guess who is 3?!?

As hard as it is to believe this sweet girl turned 3! It was her golden birthday and we celebrated all day long! Daddy took the day off and we kept very busy with all of Emmerson's favorite things! We asked her what she wanted to do and this is what she said, " I want to go shopping at Target, then maybe go to the zoo and have a hot dog for dinner." Easy enough!

She woke up with a smile wanting everyone to know she was now 3!

She came down to find her gift from Mom and Dad...a new bike!

She was SO excited!

She took the first ride in her pjs!

"messy donuts" were next!

Then the zoo! It was beautiful and warm!

Even though Claire was at the zoo a million times last summer this was the first that she really looked around and she couldn't believe all see was seeing.

successful trip...nap needed on the 5 minute drive home!

Post nap walk to dinner. Hot dog was YUMMY!

Red cupcake for dessert!

and a quick stop at the playground on the way home. Great day for a great little girl!

A quick trip to Evansville

We made a quick trip to Evansville for our friend Aubrey's birthday party. We got to spend the night with Grandma Emmerson. We had so much fun with her.

As you can see Emmerson adored her...sadly we were shocked when she went to the hospital 3 days after this picture and died a week after this! Rest in Peace sweet Grandma Emmerson!

SO happy to have these pictures with her!

We went to Aunt Deb and Uncle George's to play with our cousins.

Silly girls!

Easter Egg Hunt

My school had an Easter egg hunt. It was so fun to see all my friends and their families.

There were lots of craft tables...we hit all of them!

Dora and Boots were there too.

We sang some songs about bunnies for our families.

Then we got to go find the eggs.

Claire must have been hungry!

We saw our friend Miles there. He is going to go to that school next year too.

Just comparing our eggs.
