July Fun

Summer is flying by and I hate to see it go.  The girls are having so much fun together and getting to know Caroline.  I love nothing more than watching them play together.  If you see one of them you see all three.  They keep busy moving from one thing to the next all day long!  You never know what they are pretending to be at the moment but it usually looks and sounds fun and the tv is rarely on so I am happy too!

Emmerson adores her littlest sister and is such a big help.  She is able to calm her down, get her to sleep, and gets the best giggles!  She will sit and hold her for hours if we let her!

These two are buddies too.  Caroline doesn't take her eyes off of her!

Caroline is one of the gang now and even gets to be part of Daddy's bedtime books some nights.

We spent as much time as possible at the pool this month.

It's always a bonus when Daddy can come.

During the work week this is what Brigid and I are tying to keep alive on our own! (Caroline is hiding back there)

Claire is an official swimmer this summer!

The girls still love our slow mornings.  We still all casually collect in our bed until the last one wakes.

Claire gets her special time with Caroline first thing in the morning.

We are on the go a lot so Caroline spends a lot of time in her carseat.  She doesn't seem to mind.  This day she must have been working on using her tongue.

This was one of the many gymnastics classes that Emmerson puts on for her sisters.

The fake glasses are very popular in all dress up games.

Caroline's first trip to the museum

We even made a second trip to the museum with Marin, Quinn, and Colin

Emmerson reads to her sisters every chance she gets.

Our crazy crew headed to a birthday party in Bloomington.

This is the definition of tired...rolling over and falling asleep on the changing table.

Haircuts!

The big move is underway.  Crib is up!

Big girl bed for Audrey

The first night in her bed she climbed right in and was excited to be in her "big sister bed".  After we put her to bed we realized we never told her not to come out of her room.  We didn't know what to expect in the morning.  So we were pleasantly surprised when she woke and and just stayed in bed singing and talking until we came to get her.

Claire made a new friend.

Caroline is 3 months old

Our Sweet Caroline is 3 months old.  She is the sweetest, calmest, most go with the flow little girl ever! Her life is crazy and she handles it all so well.  Naps on the go, eating when there is time to feed her, and most importantly she is tolerant of all the little helping hands that are constantly on her.  She is still in our room but is sleeping through the night so the big move will be coming soon.

3 months old

We joke that if you think it's cute when the baby cries that means she doesn't cry enough...but I think this is the cutest little pathetic face I know!

I have a new sidekick while I make dinner!

As Audrey says, " We picked the best Caroline for us!"

A weekend at Lake Klinger

Wes and Kelly Collier invited us to spend a weekend at there lake house on Klinger lake.  Somehow we found a weekend that the Colliers, Applegates, Wrights (Neil's best friends from high school), and us were all free.  So we had 8 adults and 9 kids in one house for a weekend.

It was all hands on deck.  Everyone was so helpful with each others kids (lets be honest mainly ours).

The girls loved the boat and being on the water all weekend.

The water was really shallow so we could really let them run pretty free.

We took lots of boat rides.

Everyone wanted to help drive.

Claire tried tubbing with Daddy.  It was fine until Daddy tossed her off without warning.  In his defense they were about to fall off and he thought it would be less of a fall if he tossed her to the side rather than her going flying off.  Either way she was not pleased!

The kids loved jumping off the boat.

The kids spent hours trying to catch fish in little nets and gathering shells.

Wes is the best!  Our girls adore him!

S'mores are always a hit!

So were these nets.

Sunday before we left we spent some time at the sandbar.

Maddy and Emma were so great with all the little kids.

This baby is the best!  She is just along for the ride.  I don't think she cried one time all weekend.

You never know where you might find her!  Just tucked in the shade.

The adults snuck in some fun too!

We had a great weekend living the lake life!
