Backyard Camp

A couple of our babysitters invited Emmerson to their Backyard Camp.  It is for girls going into kindergarten - 4th grade.  It was for 3 hours a day for the whole week.  They did all kinds of backyard games and fun activities.  Emmerson had so much fun!

There were 24 girls!

4th of July weekend

We made our annual trip to Fort Wayne to celebrate the 4th of July.  It is always such a fun weekend with family and friends.

The weekend started with a quick trip to the zoo.

The girls like to ride the ponies.

We spent a lot of the weekend at the Holms pool.  The girls love to swim and can keep themselves very busy in the backyard.  Giving Mom and Dad a well deserved break!

There were lots of picnics by the pool.

When Audrey wasn't swimming she had a good view of the action.

Emmerson was brave enough to go off the diving board this year with out Caty's help.

The bucket is always fun!

This little girl LOVES the water too!

4th of July picnic

our firecrackers!

Chuck lets these two pick all his flowers.

Oh Claire...

Firework time!

She loved watching the girls do the sparklers!

Nikki squeezed in plenty of cuddle time between hosting all of us!

There was lots of time on the porch swing.

Claire put on a few shows...notice her stage and microphone.

Chuck always makes us homemade ice cream.  This year Claire was very helpful.

So she got the first taste and approved.

Caty spent sometime on the porch just letting Claire talk...anyone that has done that knows it was by far the best part of Caty's weekend.

We got to spend time with Jerrry and Sandy too!  S'mores are always a great way to end the day.

Audrey liked the fire.

Audrey took her baths in the sink.  It was a hit to say the least!

The weekend ended with three happy, tired girls!  The Holms sold their house a few days later.  After over 30 years of living across the street from Nana and Pop Pop so next year will be the start of new traditions!
