21 months

Claire is 21 months old already!  I know we say this every month but time is flying by!  She is funny, sweet, and SO silly.  She loves to dance, sing, and do anything her sister does!  Her favorite song is Ba Ba Black Sheep and she sings is ALL day long!  She is starting to sing her ABC's and knows her colors.  She can count to five alone and to ten with help.  She LOVES books, her sister and her dog!

She reads books to her dog all the time.  Bella is a good sport...she pays close attention!

She has the craziest hair we have ever seen.

This is her favorite spot for breakfast. (especially when it is during the week and Daddy is working from home)

If we can't find her this is the first place we look.  She likes to keep Bella company in her favorite napping spot.

Christmas downtown

We met Daddy downtown after a meeting so we could have dinner and see the Christmas lights!  It was so FUN!

Of course South Bend Chocolate Factory was a must!

The girls loved seeing the Christmas Tree.

Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Bloede

We got to celebrate Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa a little early.  It was fun to kick off the season and the girls loved opening presents.

They were very serious about their work!

These cars are a hit!

Helping Grandma.

Claire had been hoping for a chair like her sisters so she was excited to try it out.

Pop Pop's show

We went to Pop Pop's school Christmas show.  We had so much fun.  The best part was the fancy seats.

Waiting in the big girl seats.

Pop Pop went on stage with the kindergarten class so he took us with him.  We sang Jingle Bells.

When the show was over Pop Pop talked to the crowd Emmerson run up with him and grabbed his hand.

Being up on the stage was so fun.  They were running around and dancing.

It was way past our bedtime when we got home so Emme got to cuddle Pop Pop for a minute!

Jolly Days

We made it to Jolly Days at the museum a couple times.  We love the museum so it is fun when there are new things to do.

The ice castle and slide were are favorite.

There is a spot where you can take off your shoes and "ice skate" in your socks.

Of course we went to all of our other favorite spots too!

Visiting Santa

The Indiana School for the Blind has a tree sale each year and Santa and Mrs. Claus come too.  We love to go to it and see all the trees and visit Santa. Emmerson was so excited to see Santa again this year.  She never did mind him (unlike her sister).

Poor Santa!

Emmerson was so confused about why Claire was so upset.  She told Nana, "Baby panicked when she got on Santa's lap!" (check out the elf)

Emmerson told Santa she wanted a doll house and a high chair for her babies.  She was also sure to pass along Claire's request for a train.

I asked Claire if she wanted to go see Santa again and this is what happened.

Jack was kind enough to share Santa's lap for round two of Emmerson's visit!

Round 3 of Emmerson's visit was a little more eventful! She went up to hug him and tell him Merry Christmas, which she did!  Followed by a few more hugs...

And then....she kissed him!  On his LIPS!  Santa was VERY surprised to say this least!  His face was priceless!

We had some cookies with our buddy Jack!

And then went to see the trees.  Of course the "baby" trees were their favorite!

Claire bounced back as you can see by her excitement!

It was another great year with Santa!

Gingerbread house

Indy Parks has a great Gingerbread house activity.  This is our second year doing it and I can't image we will miss it in the years to come.  Claire wasn't old enough this year but she got to spend the morning with Cousin Lauren so she didn't mind staying home either!

We got to make a Gingerbread man while we waited for everyone to get there.

She was so serious about it.  She planned it all out before she started.

It's done!

She wanted to make sure I got a close up picture of Bella in the front yard and the food she put out for her.  (FYI- we do not throw Bellas food out in the yard for her to find...ever!)
