4th of July weekend

Our family tradition is to go to Fort Wayne for the 4th of July weekend.  It has become something that we really look forward too.  We relax, sit by the Holms pool, and eat yummy food!

We were able to spend sometime with Emmerson's God Mother, Molly, and her family.  It's always a little crazy seeing as together we have 6 (soon to be 7) kids under the age of 8.

We met at a fun park where the kids could run wild.

Some how we managed a picture of all 6 of them.  (Henry, Lily, Claire, Emmerson, Elsie, and Charlie)

Then we headed to Nana and Pop Pops house.  They had baby bunnies in the front yard.  We had to keep a close eye on them all weekend.

The next morning (4th of July) we headed right across the street to spend the day with the Holms.  We had such a great time just swimming and playing all day and evening.

As you can see this one has no problem making herself at home!

Chuck and Nikki always have new fountains for us to play in.

And buckets to squeeze into.

We were in the water all day!

A quick change for dinner!

and then we did it all again the next day!

Emmerson spent a large portion of her weekend "picking rocks".

Pop Pop was a good sport seeing as this is how a lot of his weekend was spent.

Claire really wanted to go off the diving board...she thought it was great!

Once Emmerson saw Claire do it she decided she was brave enough too.

Just living the dream...

Even our down time was spent by the pool...Delaney's toys were a hit too.

Work with Daddy!

The day before 4th of July Daddy's work has a special day where the girls get to go to work with him. Emmerson remembers going in the past so she was counting down the days.

Very happy girls!

They took their backpacks with the things they needed for the day...

As you can see someone thought that was pretty fun!

More summertime FUN!

The girls are at such a good age to go places and are able to keep busy without too much planning.  So we are trying to squeeze in as much as we can this summer before it is time to go back to school and before we have a new baby and new schedule to add into our crazy life.  Must days we find something fun to do.  Here are a couple of our favorites.

The Childrens Museum.  It never gets old to the girls.

The park is also a very bit hit this summer.

We can always talk Daddy into the fun too.

Face Painting with friends

Our friends had a party and their were face painters there.  Emmerson had never been real interested in having this done but she was excited this time around!

Of course once Claire saw Emme do it she had to have a turn too!

They LOVED it!

They had poppers too.  Emme thought it was great to throw them and listen for the pop.

One of Claire's friends from school was at the party too.  They were very excited to see each other.

We even did some sparklers to end the night!

Playing with our friends

We have been keeping very busy this summer and we are having so much fun with all of our friends.  During the school year everyone has different school schedules which makes it hard to get together.

We love to spend time with Anna and Owen. Anna is 6 months older than Emmerson and Owen is 2 months older than Claire.

We have been able to spend a lot of time with Jack and his new baby brother Cater too.

We even got to see one of Emmerson's old teachers from her daycare days.

Kate, Molly, and Miles came over to have dinner and Popsicles with us!
