Soccer time

Emmerson got to play soccer this June too.  The first three practices were to learn the rules and practice all the moves...the last practice was a "real" game.  She really liked it, especially when Daddy was called out to play too.

Learning to kick towards the goal.

Poor Daddy would come from work so he would run around in his work clothes in 90 degree weather (usually while letting Claire "play" too.)

Our buddy Jack played too.

Stretching for the real game.

She is sure she wants to play next year too.  This makes her Daddy very happy!

Our little tennis player

Emmerson started tennis this summer.  She really liked it.  It helped that there were a lot of her friends in her class.  It was hard to get good pictures due to being pretty far from the courts but it was so cute to watch.

Emmerson and Jack before their last class.  Emmerson was sad it was over and is already talking about playing tennis next year.

Here are a couple pictures of her on the court.  She is in the middle with the purple tank top on.

Fathers Day

We broke up our trip home from Michigan by stopping at Nana and Pop Pops.  We celebrated Fathers Day with Daddy there.

Emmerson asked for days to go get Daddy a gift for Fathers day.  She wanted to get him a soccer ball so "he could play with her whenever he wanted."  I finally took her to shop for one once I realized she wasn't going to change her mind.  There was a whole wall of soccer balls...every color you could imagine.  She was sure Dad "would LOVE" the pink one she picked out.

and he did!

They tried it out right away.

Happy Fathers Day to the BEST Daddy we know!

Pop Pop got a squeeze too.

Tired girls after a big weekend!

A weekend in Grosse Pointe Park, MI

We made our yearly trip back to Grosse Pointe Park, MI.  We love to go back to our old neighborhood and see our friends.  We had perfect weather this year and the girls had so much fun!

Plenty of backyard fun!

Miss Anna is always a hit!  The girls couldn't get enough of her.

We were outside the whole weekend.

We spent lots of time at our favorite park and even got to swim.

And see the water and boats.

The crazy crew!

They loved looking at all the boats.

Betsy was so good with the girls.  They love playing with her.

There is so much room to run and play...with no better view!

And an awesome playground.

We can't wait to go back next year!

A day at Butler

We spend time on Butlers campus multiple times a week.  The girls really think it is their own personal park.  The other morning we packed a lunch and headed over there to play with Jack, Marcy and baby Carter.  They brought everything you could ever need to play most sports so the girls had a great time.

Frisbee lessons

Bubble time

Hide and seek

A quick lunch break.

What a great morning!

Claire's first trip to the dentist

Claire had her first visit to the dentist last week.  She was a good girl and didn't mind it a bit.  The plan was for Emmerson to go first and show Claire just what to do...well when we got there Claire was sure she needed to go first and Emmerson was plenty happy to let her.

The difference in our two girls...

A quick trip to IU

One Saturday afternoon we made a last minute decision to head to Bloomington for dinner and ice cream.  The girls were so excited.  We love to spend time on campus!

Dinner at Yogi's = a very happy family.

A quick post dinner run on campus.

The girls love all the little bridges on campus.

Can't leave town without seeing the fountain.

This one was so tired she needed a "daddy ride"
