The Haunted House at the Children's Museum

We went to the haunted house again this year.  We go to the lights on hours so it is perfect for the girls.  What made it even better this year is that we were able to meet Anna and Owen there because it was fall break.

Waiting in line to get in.  It was a pirate theme this year so there is a huge pirate ship in the background!

This picture sums up this crew perfectly...Anna and Emmerson doing what they were told, Owen and Claire  being held in place by their siblings, and Audrey in a mad dash to who knows where!

They were impressed by all the decorations.

BOO! for our crew!

and somehow the two biggest talked us into not only staying at the VERY crowded museum but staying until the end of the day parade!

Tailgating with the SInghs

It is our favorite time of year...tailgating season!  It is even better when our friends join us. So we were excited when the Singhs wanted to go to a game.   I am pretty sure the only person that enjoys tailgating as much as Neil is Jack Singh!

Neil had to go down to Bloomington early for a meeting so the rest of us rode down with the Singhs.  It was a packed van!  We got in some traffic making it a two and a half hour drive!

Everyone was happy when we got there and got the snacks out.

These pictures sum up Emmerson and Carter's relationship perfect!  They adore each other!

They could have played all day!

It got a little chilly after we came out of the game so the girls cozied up!

It was such a great day with great friends!  Can't wait for next year!

Chicago Marathon

We were lucky enough to spend a weekend with most of our Surber family!  One of our very favorite things to do!  Two of my cousins ran the Chicago marathon in honor of our cousin Jason.  It was so much fun to all be together and to support our runners!

It is so fun to see all these Surber girls together.  The count in this generation is 9 girls and 6 boys.  Which still shocks everyone since I have all boy cousins.

Friday night we all went to Kirsten and Jason's house.  The kids ran wild and couldn't of had more fun together.

We stayed at Ryan and Christy's new house.  The girls loved their dog Rue.  She looks just like our Bella did!

The girls loved spending time at Drew's house.

Even a few of our Florida cousins were there.  Sweet Jaclyn loves our girls.

Come Sunday morning we were all up and ready for the marathon, lights on and this is what Claire looked like.  I guess it is a sign of a good weekend.

We made it to the our spot along the marathon and were ready to cheer Todd and Jenn on!

Everyone wore our hat in memory of Jason and the book he wrote, The Running Father.

We were so proud when we saw them run by!

We spent a little time in the city while we waited to meet everyone at lunch.

It was an interesting day dragging 4 kids around the city from 9:00-4:00!  Thankfully everyone did great and had so much fun!

We met the whole family for a late lunch before heading home.   We are so happy we were able to be part of this weekend and celebration for our cousins!

This little one was unbelievable!  Hardly a complaint and kept up like a champ...that is until the walk back to the car!  She just couldn't make it!

Claire's first field trip!

Claire got to go on her first field trip.  She was over the moon!  I was lucky enough to get to go with her.  We went to an apple orchard and pumpkin patch.

They were excited to see all the really big pumpkins!

These are some of her new friends.

We picked apples first.

Then went on a hayride out to the pumpkin patch.

Everyone got to pick a pumpkin.

Then we went to the playground area.

I took home a very happy girl!

September FUN!

September came and went way too quickly...but three little ladies kept us on our toes!

What else would you do while Mom showers besides put 100 bandaids on?!?

The littles and I sneak in a bagel date when ever we can!

Audrey is like a teenager!  I wake her up most morning between 8:30-9:00 and this is the look I get!  She is never in a hurry to get up!

Emmerson lost her second tooth!

Since we walk to school rain or shine Audrey loves her umbrella.

This couch is always very crowded!

Nana is such a good sport...Emmerson put all her babies down for naps...on the steps!

Queen Audrey prefers breakfast in bed.

Dress up still happens daily around here!

The beautiful fall weather has allowed many trips to the park.
