We LOVE our cousins...and Uncle Matt!

We were so lucky to get to spend so much time with our cousins.  The girls LOVE them so much.  Charlie is the best big cousin around.  He was so helpful to them and did what ever they needed.  Adam and Emme had so much fun playing in the pool together.  It was fun to see how well they played  together and how much they enjoyed it!  Both boys must have said a hundred times, "Claire is so cute."     She just followed the big kids around (or Charlie carried her) the whole week.

Sand and swimming = FUN!

We were outside early each morning and didn't come in until it was time to get ready for dinner.  It was so nice to have such great weather and for the girls to get to swim and play at the beach.  Both girls would stay in the pool all day if we let them.  Emmerson would play in the sand all day too.  Claire preferred the pool but if we could get her to forget about the ocean and just play in the sand she tolerated it.

Some of our other cousins came to see GG too so we got to play with them.  

Claire just waited by the side of the pool for anyone to offer to help her in.  

She spent a lot of time crawling around the pool like a dog too!

I think she is going to be a fish like her sister. 

We even got to eat outside. 

Emmerson built so many sand castles.  She loved playing in the sand.  

Claire on the other hand called the waves bubbles and would say over and over, " NO bubbles".

She did like the shells though.

Some evenings we went back to the beach after dinner to play in the sand.

Florida Museum

We had one chilly morning so we went to a children's museum.  We had so much fun.

Ads and Emmerson loved driving the boat.

There was an area that a full grocery store was set up.  Claire loved it!

By far the best stop was the pirate ship.  It had a cannon we could shoot.  

They had a craft area too.  We made masks. 

To no surprise Emmersons favorite area was playing with all the doctor stuff.  

Christmas Day

Christmas morning couldn't come fast enough around here.  Emmerson had been counting down the days all month!  We had such a fun morning!

Moving on to the gifts under the tree.  The girls were so sweet watching each other open their gifts. They were so excited over everything that was opened!

Baby Boots was a huge hit!  Emmerson saw it at a store and was sure her sister needed it.  I guess she knows what her sister likes.

Once the girls were done opening gifts in the living room we saw that Santa had left something in the family room too!

Emmerson's doll house is a HUGE hit...with everyone, and of course Claire got her "choo choo" too. 

The girls were so busy all morning.  They would just moved from one thing to the next.  The baby dolls got a new swing and high chair.

Once things settled down we went back to the living room so Mom and Dad could open their gifts.  

The girls were very helpful.

It was so fun to be home...just the 4 of us!

And then... we left for Florida! Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve started with Mom making a big breakfast and we waited and waited for Claire to wake up.  Finally at about 9:00 we woke her up to find she had croup.  So we made a quick stop at the doctor for some medicine and then went back to our family day.  We just played at home and relaxed before church.

An elf left us a package at our front door...new Christmas jammies. 

As soon as we put on our new pjs we read books by the tree.

  

Then we picked out cookies for Santa.  Of course we had to try them too!

Then we watched a Christmas movie before bed!  We were so excited about Santa coming!
