Spring Break 2017

Spring break couldn't come fast enough.  We love nothing more than our time together at the beach.  No work, no school, and no distractions!

These girls love the beach and we couldn't be happier about it!

The amount of holes Daddy digs is outrageous...

He recruits some help.

Pure joy!

There were a few times we would all realize that we all walked away from Caroline... she didn't love that!

The best part of where we stay is the ability to bounce back and forth from the beach to the pool! The girls are total water bugs!

Thankfully Caroline was still pretty happy just watching from the shade.

She also liked the baby pool.

Our cousins came for a visit while we were there!  We love seeing them!

Cousin Todd always feels sorry for Emmerson since she has to walk everywhere...So he makes sure to say yes to EVERYTHING she asks!

Our favorite spot!

Caroline sleeps in the closet.

Making sure she is beach ready.

Most afternoons we hit the tiki bar for a quick snack.

We never miss Sunday brunch at Shuckers

She tried to escape each afternoon when it was time to take a nap.

Poor Claire had a nasty cough on the way down.  It didn't seem to be getting better though it wasn't slowing her down too much.  We decided to take her in to hopefully get a quick antibiotic.  She tested positive to the flu, which stinks since she had the flu shot.

We took Emmerson on a little date to celebrate her birthday.

All showers without tubs = baby bathes in the sink.

The girls like to play tennis while we are there.

Caroline was so close to walking we were hoping we could hold her off until we get home.

Everyone is so tired by the end of the day that this is what dinner usually looks like!

Emmerson turns 8

This lucky little lady gets to spend most of her birthdays on the beach!  To say she loves that would be an understatement.  She is getting so big that sometimes it stops me in my tracks.  She is an unbelievable big sister.  She is capable and willing to do everything the little girls need/want.  In most cases all of them pick her over us.  She loves school, anything craft related, being outside, and playing with her sisters.

The little girls were excited to decorate the condo for her birthday.

Gifts were waiting on her too.

She wanted a Polaroid camera SO bad!

And a real bunny.  Her sisters found a "pet bunny" in the American Girl catalog that had to do.

We had to head right out to try out her camera.

After spending a perfect day bouncing back and forth from the beach and pool it was cake time.

Poor Daddy and Claire missed most of the day due to Claire being sick.  She tested flu positive after many hours at the doctor.

No birthday is complete without beating Daddy and Pop Pop in Uno.

We tucked a very sleepy and happy 8 year old in.  To think 8 years ago we were just starting this parenting journey!
