Daddy's Birthday

We made a cake for Daddy's birthday.  Emmerson is really starting to enjoy baking and is becoming pretty independent with a lot of the steps.  

They did all the work.

Valentines Day

We love holidays at our house!  Emmerson would celebrate for days!

Snow

We missed the one big snow of the season while we were in Florida so we have tried to take advantage of the small amounts we have received since we have been home.

Winter update

We have gotten pretty good at staying home and warm this winter.  The girls have no problem staying busy.  They spend most of their days just playing together.  It is fun to watch how close they have gotten and how much they enjoy each others company.  

The doll house passes a lot of time.  

We still LOVE books and will sit for as long as someone will read!

I believe this is a bus headed to the doctor... no shortage of creativity. 

This kid is CRAZY!  Anything for a laugh!

The girls are really starting to enjoy helping in the kitchen.

We always say what a sound sleeper Emmerson is and this proves it.  When Nana was here Emmerson slept on her cot and this is how we found her....asleep.

Our visit with GG Surber

We loaded up the car on Christmas day and drove all the way to Florida to visit GG Surber.  We were meeting Pop Pop, Nana, Uncle Matt, Charlie and Adam there.  We were excited to spend a week in the sun!  It was a pretty uneventful trip which is great.  The girls were great travelers and since we left a day before the big snow storm the weather cooperated.    I am not sure where to even start when blogging about our vacation.  Between all the cameras we had hundreds of pictures! (remember this is our so called baby book so please excuse the large number of pictures)   I decided to start with the most important part...the reason for the trip, GG Surber.  We were so excited to get there and spend some time with her.  Emmerson absolutely adores her.  She pretends to go visit her all the time when playing at home.  

When Nana brought her to the room we were all waiting on her in Claire took off running and flew into her arms!

We got to visit her everyday we were there.  Charlie didn't want to miss a minute with her either. 

During one visit Claire kept rubbing GG's feet.  

The girls picked out shells on the beach everyday to take to her.  She was excited to see what they brought each visit. 

We hated to say good bye and head home but we hope to see her very soon!

We LOVE our cousins...and Uncle Matt!

We were so lucky to get to spend so much time with our cousins.  The girls LOVE them so much.  Charlie is the best big cousin around.  He was so helpful to them and did what ever they needed.  Adam and Emme had so much fun playing in the pool together.  It was fun to see how well they played  together and how much they enjoyed it!  Both boys must have said a hundred times, "Claire is so cute."     She just followed the big kids around (or Charlie carried her) the whole week.
