Emmerson's First Reconciliation

Emmerson had her first reconciliation last weekend.  She had a great day that started with a morning retreat and then lunch with us before reconciliation.

Caroline is 7 Months Old

Our sweet girl is 7 months old.  She fits in with our family so perfectly.  She really has her own little personality now.  She is sweet, calm, and generally a very happy little girl.  She smiles ear to ear if anyone even looks at her.  She is sitting up on her own, starting to wave, is just starting some baby food, and can get on her hands and knees when on her tummy. (our goal is for her to NOT be mobile until we get home from Florida) She is sleeping about 11-12 hours at night and taking two good naps a day.  She absolutely adores her sisters.  It is so fun to watch her with the big girls.  She has a different relationship with each of them.  Audrey is her buddy, she watches her every move.  Claire is the funniest person she knows.  She literally laughs at everything she does to the point that she is gasping for air. They also have these quiet sweet moments together that melt my heart.  Emmerson is like a second mom to her.  She is capable of meeting all Caroline's needs.  Caroline just cuddles right into her.  It is a very safe bet that this little girl is going to be rotten.

She looks like such a big girl just sitting and playing with toys.

She is all smiles all the time!

The jumper is a hit with another baby girl!

6 Month pictures

She is turning into a tummy sleeper.

Everything goes right to her mouth.

You never know what her sisters might have her wearing....this day it was a crown.

Our happy girl!

The monkey hat is back!

All 4 monkeys!

She will sit and dig toys out of her toy bin for hours!

Caroline's first taste of cereal

Caroline had her first taste of cereal.  We always start cereal just after 6 months and it always goes the same way.  A first excited bite, then terrible faces, gagging, and then tears and a messy face.

The first bite...still excited to see what this is!

The second bite...the disgusted face starts!

Begging for us to stop!

Cue the tears

and a messy face!

Ending with a true look of concern!

Thankfully a bath makes everything better and usually each day our babies get a little better at eating!

Our Flamenco Dancer

The girls school offers a Flamenco class (taught by the spanish teacher).  Claire loves everything about it!  This weekend she got to preform with her group at the International Festival.

She was so excited!

Claire and a couple other kindergarteners.

Warming up.

She was nervous but went right up on stage and started dancing!

She was so proud when she was done!

Tubes for Caroline

To no surprise Caroline needed her own set of tubes.  This making the 6th set between the girls.  In just 6 short months she has had four double ear infections and 6 rounds of antibiotics trying to clear them up.

As we were waiting for the ENT to come in I filled her in on what was going to happen...she looked concerned!

After she met her doctor she decided it was ok!
Our ENT is the best!  We left his office around noon and she was already scheduled for 6:45 am the next day!

It was bright and early and she couldn't eat but she was still all smiles!

She even got comfortable in the hospital bed.

It only takes about 20 minutes but we always return to a SCREAMING baby!  We can hear them crying as we are walking down the hall of recovery!

Within a couple hours we were home and she was back in my arms!

After a four and half hour nap she was all smiles again!

October FUN

Life...it can be busy, chaotic, and loud.  It can also be sweet, calm and quiet.  Either way it's fun (most of the time) and we feel lucky the chaos is ours! And in the blink of an eye another month goes by!

Audrey loves puzzles and is so proud that she can do them by herself now.

Emmerson sang in the choir at school mass this month.

Audrey was so excited to run into Quinny on a walk in the neighborhood.  They are so sweet together!

These two...They absolutely adore each other!

I went up to check on the girls the other night and found this...Audrey made a bed in the big girls door way!

The big girls can't get their hands on this baby fast enough when they get home from school!  She doesn't seem to mind the fight!

Claire is doing so well adjusting to kindergarten.  She loves doing her homework!

Sometimes it is tough to be the baby!

Everyday when Emmerson gets home and holds Caroline they are both so happy!

She literally just looks up at her and kisses her and smiles!  It is SO sweet!

Brigid and I decided to go downtown to vote early.  We only had 3 of the 7 kids with us and people kept commenting that we had our hands full...they have no idea!

We stopped at City Market afterwards for lunch.

This little lady loved the adventure.

It's that time of year when Daddy rakes leaves over and over while they jump in the piles over and over.

Audrey loves her school!

Daddy took the little girls on a lunch date (of course to Jimmy Johns)!
