Father's Day

We celebrated Father's Day a day early due to Daddy having to leave to travel for work.  These girls are so lucky to have such a great and involved Dad!  He loves being their dad and the they adore him!

We always let the girls decide what to get us for holidays.  This year Emmerson wanted to get Daddy a new IU coffee mug...and Claire wanted to get him a "boy tank top".  SO...I helped Daddy out a bit.  I figured if you were going to open a mug and tank top for Father's day you deserve a day doing one of your favorite things.  So I encouraged the girls to take him to Bloomington to shop for the mug and that maybe we could find a "boy tank top" there.  Of course it was a surprise for about 3 seconds but he was happy to spend the day on campus with these 3 girls!

We always take a long walk on campus when we get there.  The girls love running around and seeing all our favorite spots.  Daddy is always quick to show them where he lived!

The girls love walking on the stone walls.  They act like they are balance beams.

A proud Daddy with 3 very happy girls!

Next stop is always dinner at Nick's.

Then we went shopping for Daddy's gifts.  The mug was an easy find.  Sadly, (for some) we didn't find a boy tank top!

We never leave campus without a quick stop at The Wells House where Daddy asked Mommy to marry him.  The girls have been there enough that they know the story and always ask to hear  the whole story again!

They also like to sit in the spot we were sitting when he proposed...and maybe even make him get on one knee each and every time!

Sunday morning we had time for a big breakfast and few more gifts that they thought he needed.  A new book and animal crackers!

Of course they made him read it to them right away.

Little lady #3 to wear the "I love Daddy" shirt!
