Round two in Evansville

We came home for a day after Easter to get more clothes and wait on Uncle Matt. Then we headed back to Evansville for a week to say our good-byes to Grandpa.

I got to meet Uncle Matt!

My cousin had a baby in the same hospital that my Grandpa was in. It was on the other side of the hospital so Gram and I caught a ride over to meet her!

I got to spend some time at the Selms playing with Aubrey and Makenna.

Trying on Pop Pop's hat.

Pop Pop and I found a quiet spot to take a nap at the hospital.

I had my first oreo one night...can you tell if I liked it?

The girls were so good at the funeral home

As you can see the funeral wore Claire out!

Easter

We did Easter a little different this year. Since we were in Evansville on Easter we celebrated as a family when we got home.

Our little bunnies

Checking out what the Easter bunny left.

Jelly beans and money! My favorites!

I loved looking for all my eggs. It was nasty out so they were all inside.

5 Weeks-Meeting Grandma and Grandpa Great

We went to Evansville for Easter weekend to see Grandpa and Grandma Emmerson. We were excited for them to meet Claire. Grandpa was in the hospital so we thought it might be interesting keeping everyone entertained there. The girls blew us away. I ended up being there a total of 10 days and there were days we were at the hospital from breakfast until past bedtime. They were great! Emmers played quietly and kept herself busy and Claire slept! We stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's house. They were able to bring so mcuh needed joy to Grandma after Grandpa died.

Speaking of entertained...this is how a 2 year old keeps busy while Mom feeds a baby along the way!

Meeting Grandpa. We are so happy to have these pictures since it will be the only time he was able to hold her. He died one week from the day this picture was taken.

Look at the smile! He was such a proud Grandpa and told us so all the time!

Even when his arm got tired he wasn't ready to give her up so we just helped.

Meeting Grandma

How does one keep busy at the hospital...Sleep on the couch!

and...play with Grandma

This is was little tray for my many meals I had at the hospital! I thought it was great!

Grandma even rubbed my feet!

More napping!

Claire spent a lot of time right by Grandpa's bed! She brought a lot of smiles to who ever was sitting with him! As you can see she had no problem sleeping!

4 Weeks Old

I am finally starting to have some awake time. I am still a good girl. I eat, sleep and hang out! My sister still really likes having me around...Mom and Dad keep waiting for that to change! I am back to my birth weight...finally!

Every time my eyes are open Emme says, "Baby Claire's eyes open!"

Rough life!

This is at 3 am. I was up feeding her and asked Neil to keep an eye on her while I went to the bathroom. This is what I found when I returned.

Emmers has been asking to get in Claire's bed over and over. We of course said no over and over. So then she started asking if Claire could get in her bed. We couldn't think of any good reason to tell her no so we dropped her in. Emme was SO excited!

Claire even stayed awake for the excitement.

Meeting Marin...My sister is nice enough to hold my head up after shoving a passie in my mouth?!? Good thing I am a good sport!

My preferred way to do tummy time!

Emme likes to show me the ropes.

I had my 1 month appointment and got my shots. See my war wounds?

I look SO little in my big bed!

Sometimes in the morning I have to wait to be fed while Mom helps get Emme and Dad out the door. I don't mind because I get to wait on Dad's pillow!
