May days

We all welcomed May with a smile.  We love knowing that summer is right around the corner.  The nice weather has us outside all the time which makes us all very happy.

Our friendly neighborhood cat, Sampson, spends a lot of time in our backyard now that we no longer have Bella to chase him off.  The girls were sad to see him go when his family moved this month.

Nice weather = a constant stream of bloody knees!

Audrey loves school pick up time!

We got to babysit Quinn for a day when her daycare was closed.  The girls had so much fun with her.

School pick up was interesting...

It is not uncommon to come out to see that the girls have set up the driveway as a "tailgate".

We have Butler to ourselves again!

Someone is happy to get her turn on Daddy's shoulders.

These two... You never know what they are up to or where you will find them!

Emmerson had an end of the year Daisy celebration.  They got to ride horses.

Popsicle time is here...

and plenty of time playing in puddles.

Claire has started having some playdates of her own.  She thinks it's pretty great.

This little girl has it all figured out.  I told her no snacks so she decided to take care of it herself.

Have we mentioned that she has crazy hair?!?

One school day I had a few things to get done.  Audrey is my little partner.  I laughed a few times when I thought about how see just keeps up!

I was doing some work out back and she was helping...Then I looked over and she had found a seat and just laughed at me when I caught her resting!

I had a few things to drop off at Emmerson's school and I looked back as I was racing out of the building and I see her moving at top speed to keep up!  She's the best little co-pilot ever!

She can keep up with her sister now too!  In EVERY situation!

Not sure why she looks like she is 10!

One day at nap time I went to get Audrey's room ready and came back to get her and found this.  She was cozy in Emmerson's bed with no plan of getting out.

Emmerson's had her first field day.  She loved everything about it.

This is her 6th grade faith partner that she got to spend the day with.

The little girls and I got to go too and they loved it just as much!

Last Day of Kindergarten

Somehow Emmerson's kindergarten year is over, it went SO fast!  She had such a great year.  St. Thomas is a great fit for her.  The small school/class setting is perfect for her.  The community at STA is unbelievable.  We feel so lucky that we have met so many great people and have settled in so quickly!

Last day pictures

The littles and I went to the end of year mass.  I withheld all snacks until mass started....hints the stink eye from the littlest.

Emmerson got to leave as soon as mass was over.  So we headed to the pool to celebrate the start of summer!

First day / Last night picture
It's amazing how much the change in 9 months time!

Kickball at STA

Emmerson played kickball this year.  It was a coed kindergarten and first grade team.

Emmerson and a few of her classmates at the end of season party.

They were SO excited to get their medals!

Emmerson was SO nervous most of the season.  Her coach was so great.  He would go up to kick the ball with her and run the bases with her (more like drag her around the bases).

Once the season was over and she got her medal she was sure she wanted to play again next year!

Mother's Day

Mothers Day started with me sleeping in...which really would have been enough to make the day perfect!

Then I woke up to bagels in bed. ( with a ladybug that Emmerson had been saving for weeks from a birthday party)

We then spent the whole day outside doing the things we love to do!  Perfect day!  I feel so lucky to be these little ladies mom!

April

April seemed to come and go so fast I am not sure what all we did.

The weather was crazy as it always is in Indiana this time of year.  Claire LOVED wearing her new rain gear!

This girl is growing up so fast.  The other day I was putting laundry away and I couldn't find her.  When I found her say was laying in our bed with her blanket.

She still LOVES bagels with cream cheese!

and can climb on anything!

Claire thinks its fun to get on all the little toys we have out for Audrey.

These two are best buddies and I couldn't love their ability to start their days SLOW anymore than I do.

Carter got to have a dinner date with us.  Though he was very outnumbered by the ladies he didn't mind.

We even made a post dinner trip to Butler.

Long days outside = tired girls!  So tired they don't always make it all the way home before falling asleep.

No one likes having a sick baby BUT everyone at this house loves the cuddles you get when we have a sick baby!

One morning she fell back to sleep in our bed!  Nothing sweeter than a sleeping girl.

Audrey and Claire love weekends!  They get their biggest playmate home!

Audrey picks Emmerson over us daily...

The littles and I sneak in some bagels dates now and then....but we don't admit it!

If you see one...you see the other!

Sweet sisters!  I hope they are always this close!

Spring Sing

Claire had her spring sing at school.  There is nothing sweeter than watching preschoolers preform!

Emmerson was a proud big sister!

Claire and Addy are best buddies!

Send HELP!

While on spring break Emmerson proved that she can write notes...
Neil took the big girls into the condo while Audrey was napping.  He decided to run out to the pool for a minute (it is RIGHT across from the condos sliding door).  He told the big girls to come out if they wanted.  Well, he went back a few minutes later to check on them and found this note OUTSIDE the door, on the ground!  Apparently, Emmerson couldn't open the sliding door more than a crack so she wrote this note and slipped it out the door to find help!   After our fear of who could have found it  passed we couldn't stop laughing.  We just kept picturing the two of them plotting how to get help, finding paper and a marker, then writing the note and slipping it out the door!
