Mother's Day

We had a busy Mothers Day.  We went for a walk on the canal and had lunch downtown.  Then played outside at home!  The weather was perfect but the company was even better!  I am so glad I get to be these girls mom!  I hope everyone feels as lucky as I do to be a mom!

Ready to head downtown!

We love walking by the canal.

Feeding the ducks.

Yes, we travel with our own highchair....that's what you have to do when you have lunch at bars.  Brilliant or sad...you decide!

Emmerson's new thing is wanting to carry Claire on her shoulders.  Again, thank goodness Claire is such a good sport!

Serious little driver can't be bothered!

Fun at home!

We have been busy at home!  Sometimes with friends...sometimes just us!

This is my friend Cecilia.  We love my markers!

Anna and I have the same jammies!

and silly faces!

"hey mom take a pictures of my night gown"  She thinks there is NOTHING better than sleeping in a dress!

Claire's favorite place to sit!  Though she can't be trusted as she prefers to stand/climb on the back!

We still spend a TON of time on Butler's campus.  Claire has fallen in love with our "park" too!

Trading pine cones

The picnic table is out...not sure which one of the girls likes eating together more!

They can always be found sitting together!

Marin likes to go to Butler with us too!

This is were they sit while I make breakfast.  I am not sure why it is so fun but they giggle the whole time! every. single. morning!

13 months old

Our SWEET baby is turning into a BIG girl!  She is full of personality and so fun to be around.  She is always smiling, laughing, and being silly.  She still adores her sister more than anything in the world!  She is walking, running, climbing, dancing and doing everything possible to keep up with her big sister.  She has transitioned from being breastfed to a sippy cup but NOT without an 8 day starvation fight! She has 8 teeth (her top and bottom front four and her 1 year molars are almost all the way in).  Some of her favorite foods are cheese, pancakes, yogurt, cheerios, bananas, and anything her sister is eating.  She is crazy over books, baby dolls and playing outside. Bath time with her sister is her favorite part of the day! She is starting to say many more words and making some animal sounds.  Her daily words are: Mama, Dada, up, yes, no, ball, and hi.  She signs more and all done.  She say moo, ruff, Ho Ho (thanks Emme for thinking Santa was important while teaching her animal sounds).  She is still a great sleeper....taking two naps a day and 12 hours at night.  Emme put it perfectly when she said, "I am so glad baby is our baby!"

Neil found her sound asleep sitting up the other night!

A few days after she turned 13 months we moved her to her big girl seat because lets be honest...she would have never out grown the infant seat!  She thinks she is pretty cool!

Easter in Evansville

We celebrated Easter in Evansville while saying our good byes to Grandma Emmerson and celebrating her life!

The Easter bunny left the girls this big pink ball. Claire was very happy about it!

We had an Easter egg hunt in Grandma and Grandpa Emmerson's back yard just like we used to do!

We realized that this was the last time we would all be at their house together! So we stopped some poor lady walking her dogs and asked her to take a picture of all of us in front of the house!

Pop Pop and Uncle Matt give great rides.

Uncle Matt read me my bedtime stories! He's the BEST!

My Grandparents have the most beautiful bushes in front of their house. Of course they only flower for a few weeks a year! We were there at the perfect time so we over did the pictures a bit...Grandpa Emmerson would have been proud of his flowers this year! They were PERFECT!

Claire paced the house with these baskets for days!

Pop Pop was kind enough to teach Claire the love for cold pizza...thanks a ton Pop Pop?!?

Emmerson's 3rd Birthday Party

Emmerson had such a fun birthday party. Friends and family came, the weather was awesome, we played outside, had an Easter egg hunt, and had pizza and cake at Emmerson's request!

We got to play outside.

We found LOTS of eggs!

Cousin Dev was so excited about the eggs he found.

Look at how full our bags are...

The whole gang (minus cousin Tommy)

Counting our eggs.

"Look at all my gifts! I am lucky!"

Thanks Jackie Poo!

She was so excited for everyone to sing to her!
