A visit from the Emmerson boys

The Emmerson boys came to visit.  We were so excited to have them.  I am never sure who is more excited...the girls or Neil and I.  This year we had the extra treat of having the boys for a weekend alone.  Uncle Matt had a big Cubs weekend planned for his birthday so the boys stayed in Indianapolis with us.  We kept very busy but loved every minute of it! 

Friday it was just me and this crew!

Charlie is the BEST big cousin ever!  He is great with Audrey and couldn't be more fun with Emmerson and Claire. 

100 acres was a huge hit! 

This picture says it all!  She insisted that he carried her everywhere and just laughed at us when we suggested she walked.

Emmerson and Claire were excited to go to their first movie with the boys.  (Minions)

These two have so much fun together.  They make up games and find all kinds of ways to keep busy. 

Nana and Pop Pop came for the weekend so we could all be together. 

Somehow 10 days wasn't enough.   Already looking forward to our next visit! 

New Earrings

Emmerson asked to get her ears pierced for her 6th birthday.  We said yes but hadn't made it until now.  Daddy was out of town for work and I asked what we should do.  Emmerson said, "let's get my ears pierced."  I couldn't think of a good reason not too...so we did! 

She was so excited.  She jumped right up in the chair.  

I was a little concerned since there was only 1 lady there meaning both ears couldn't be done at the same time.  I made it very clear if she did one she did two!  0 or 2 ears were getting pierced!  

She did it!  Hardly a fuss! 

Afterwards they gave her a sucker.  She said, " I am so happy I can't eat my sucker because I can't stop smiling!"  

July 4th in Fort Wayne

We headed to Fort Wayne for the 4th of July as we usually do.  We worked hard to create some new traditions since the Holms moved to a new house.  We had just as much fun since we still got to spend time with some of our favorites.  

The girls can keep busy anywhere.  This is just a bus headed to Florida.  

This girls ADORE Caty!  She is the BEST! 

Adurey's first go with fireworks.  Not surprised that she loved them.

I wish I knew what Claire said.  This is such a "real life" moment.  Claire saying something crazy and Emmerson thinking she is SO funny! 

On the 4th we spent the day on Chuck and Nikki's lake.
