Kindergarten or BUST!

St. Thomas Aquinas did a great job preparing us as a family and Emmerson as a student to start this new journey.   There were parent meetings, open houses, and even a Popsicle party.

We put a very excited little girl to bed the night before school started.  Mom and Dad were a little anxious about all the change that was about to happen.

We were a little concerned when we went into get her WELL before anyone besides Dad wakes up around here.  She didn't look like a girl that was ready to jump out of bed...

At breakfast Claire asked Emmerson to share a chair with her since she was going to be gone all day!

All ready to go!

Favorite Colors: pink and purple

How can someone look so big and so little at the same time?

We love that we can walk her to school.  Daddy will take her most mornings so we don't have to wake everyone up.

The nerves kicked in once we got to the school.

It was a very quick good bye with a few nervous tears.

This one was devastated!  She had no idea what to do with herself!

Kindergarten got two thumbs up at pick up.  Her teachers said she had a great day.  She had a TON to say about how great her day was. When Dadddy got home he asked if she had a good day.  She said, "No Daddy it was GREAT!"   She called me in after she went to bed and talked my ear off with a million details of her day!  She told me she couldn't wait to go back!

Two little sisters were so happy to have her home.  Audrey cuddled with her forever when she got home and then the two big girls disappeared for hours to play and catch up.
