Spring break 2018

Since Daddy had just started his new job, spring break turned into a girls trip!  We felt bad leaving Daddy behind but we decided there was no reason to cancel so the girls and I loaded up and drove the 16 hours solo!

As we pulled out Emmerson and I looked at each other and wondered if we made the right choice! Over all the travel was smooth and without much fussing so I am so glad we did it!  Audrey told her teacher I was "kind of like super woman for driving everyone to Florida" so It was worth it to show them we can do anything!

They are really good travelers.

Once we got there and looked out the window (and saw Nana and Pop Pop) we KNEW we made the right decision!

They couldn't get to the beach fast enough!

They love everything about the beach-the sand, water, waves, etc.

It's so nice that we usually have the beach to ourselves.  They run and play all day!

They are not scared of the waves at all!  Pop Pop and I spent most of our time catching kids that were being tossed by waves.

Littlest lady loves the waves too.  I was hoping for a little more fear from her for at least a couple more years!

Thank goodness we had Nana and Pop Pop to help!

Caroline spent her days covering anyone and everyone in sand.

Including herself

She did at least carry her own stuff!

They are getting really good on the boogie boards

They even got Pop Pop to try it!

Shells for days...

They have "baking" competitions everyday!

The winning meatball!

and love to dig little pools

They also like to sit and wait for the waves to hit them in the face and wash them back up to shore.

Overall it was an incredible trip but we can't wait to have Daddy back with us at Christmas!
