Hello tubes (again) and goodbye adenoids...

Not that we needed any more conformation but these two definitely got Mom's ears...

Claire had been having some ear pain (which is very uncommon for her-even with ear infections) and we were questioning her hearing.  We decided it was time to go back to the ENT for a quick check.  We were not terribly surprised to find out she had VERY little hearing due to fluid behind her eardrums.  We quickly scheduled her surgery to get another set of tubes and her adenoids out.  What we were shocked about was that I asked the doctor to peek in Audrey's ears because I wanted to see if her tubes were still in place.  They were not and she had an ear infection, very little hearing, and fluid behind the eardrums!   So we went back into scheduling and got the same surgery on the books for her too!

We weren't sure if we were crazy or not to be doing it all on the same day.  They thought it was great!

At least while we waited.

Claire loved the "dress-up" clothes.

Claire went first and thankfully Audrey had already been taken before she returned.

We are always thankful when they fall back asleep post op.

It did take Daddy pretty much laying on her to make it happen!

They are so pathetic when they are waking up!

In this moment we weren't real sure we made the right decision!  They put them in the same recovery room (by my choice) and when one would cry they would both cry...

Finally we got to go home.

A nap on the way home and some lunch on the couch and we had our sweet girls back! Unfortunately, we came home to a broken furnace so they spent their day in front of a space heater while a new furnace was installed.

In the end we were very glad they had each other to recover with!

Yes, Claire did wear her gown and socks home and for the next two days this was our view from behind!
